The Mayor of Bath

Mayor’s Young Citizen of the Year Award

The scheme began 18 years ago to counteract negative publicity about young people by celebrating their many fine achievements.  This individual award is for a 16, 17 or 18 year old who has made good progress at school or given service to the local community.  Letters are sent to local senior schools and colleges with a nomination form.

The winner will win £150 and be invited to some of the 700 special events the Mayor of Bath will attend throughout the year.  The runner-up will receive £50.  To enter,  teenagers must live in Bath, or attend a school/college in the city, or belong to a Bath-based group.  Please Click here  for a nomination form for Young Citizen of the Year 2012

This year Luke Majithia was chosen by The Mayor for his work as a mentor to younger children.
