Bath Schoolchildren visit the Mayor's Parlour and Guildhall for their Pupil Parliament

Guildhall, High Street, Bath BA1 5AW » Friday 3rd February 2012

Pupils from several Bath schools visited the Parlour and Guildhall for their Pupil Parliament event, which is organised as part of Learning Network Bath and takes place annually.

The children, who included pupils from Widcombe Junior, Oldfield Park Junior, St Keyna's and Peasedown St John Primary Schools, were welcomed by the Mayor of Bath, Councillor Bryan Chalker who explained the role of the Mayor and showed them some of the historic and beautiful items in the Parlour.  The Mayor then formally opened their Parliament in the Council Chamber where the children continued with a full day of activities.
